The mission of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services of Whatcom County is to support individuals affected by domestic violence and sexual assault and to lead the community towards ending these abuses of power. Staff and volunteers assist clients by providing support, helping to identify options and providing information about local resources.

Helps and assists HIV+ individuals of color who are newly diagnosed, at-risk or not receiving care, as well as those seeking culturally relevant forms of emotional support and counseling.   Assists clients with referrals to health and social service resources, education, information and weekly support groups.   Brochures on HIV/AIDS are available in Spanish.   Also provides the following services:   -  Reentry support -  HIV testing -  Preventative education -  Recovery support groups   -  Case management

Provides civil legal advocacy to youth primarily between 12-24 years old. TeamChild’s legal team works to secure community-based services, help youth access appropriate education, healthcare, mental/behavioral health resources, safe and stable housing, navigate school discipline, and works with youth incarcerated in the Juvenile Rehabilitation (JR) system. Advocacy efforts focus on education and school-related issues such as enrollment, school discipline and access to special education; securing safe and stable housing for youth; and helping clients access public benefits, including health care, mental health services, DDA and other support. Advocacy also includes post-conviction relief, including records sealing, restitution modifications, and assisting youth with reentry supports when returning to community from incarceration. Note: TeamChild does not provide criminal defense representation to youth or adults involved in the juvenile delinquency or adult criminal systems, nor does it offer family law representation, including child custody issues.

Provides bilingual, bi-cultural (Spanish/English) support for residents who are unable to, or unsure of how to, access resources on their own or problem-solve issues that present with barriers moving forward. The program provides clients with interpretation services so that they can access resources such as WIC, legal aid, shelters, etc. Helps the client break down their needs into manageable steps, making problem solving less overwhelming and providing the skills necessary for them to navigate service systems in the future. Also offers a diaper bank.

Provides a crisis response, safety planning, and support services to victims of domestic violence and their children.  Advocacy based counseling, protection orders, advocacy at court hearings and more. YWCA Kitsap County offers Legal Advocacy Services to victims of domestic violence. These services include: Legal Advocacy, Case Management, Safety Planning, Victims’ Rights Information, Civil and Criminal Justice System Navigation, Court Accompaniment, Protection Orders Information, Referrals for Legal Representation, Resources, Bilingual/Bicultural Advocacy Services Available, Monthly Legal Clinic, YWCA Kitsap County collaborates with Kitsap Legal Services to offer a monthly legal clinic for victims to speak with an attorney for free when they are available. Rescind Protection Orders In order to rescind a Protection Order in Kitsap County, an appointment must be made with a YWCA Legal Advocate to access information and safety planning.

Services include rapid rehousing; homelessness prevention; and support in obtaining benefits, such as counseling, employment and training, educational assistance, and health care services.

Provides case management, referrals, advocacy, and supportive services for veterans, service members and their households; focused on creating opportunities related to housing stability, financial stability, healthy living, social engagement, and service system access.   Through a collaborative case management process, the assigned social service professional will help determine the type and levels of services and resources for which one may be eligible, including VA, federal, or state level benefits.

Offers community-based advocacy to survivors of Domestic and Sexual Violence who are Deaf, DeafBlind or hard of hearing. Services include DV and SA information and education, safety planning, legal advocacy, connection to counseling, advocacy with systems (such as legal, medical, CPS, housing), and info about survivors' rights and the rights of Deaf people to have interpreters and fair access to all systems. ADWAS serves all genders.

Provides a confidential 24-hour crisis hotline for victims of sexual assault and crimes. Victim Advocates are available 24 hours a day to provide support, information, and referrals. Serves those who have been harmed as a result of crimes such as assault, robbery, child abuse, identity theft, arson, kidnapping, hate crimes, and human trafficking. Provides advocacy, individual counseling, support through the legal and criminal justice systems, information about abuse and assault, and referrals to other helpful programs. The Kittitas location also offers shelter and other services for victims of domestic violence.

HFCC victim services include DV support group, domestic violence and sexual assault support and crisis intervention, advocacy, legal advocacy, emergency and transitional housing. HFCC also provides support, advocacy, intervention and legal advocacy to victims of general crime.

Offers the following services: -  Medical Case Management: work collaboratively to develop service plans that include achievable goals on a variety of issues, such as taking medications, budgeting, planning healthy meals, scheduling transportation to appointments, and ensuring clients have stable and sustainable housing. -  Food and Household Necessities: maintains a food bank stocked with non-perishable and refrigerated food, which is received from Blue Mountain Action Council on a monthly basis. Provides food tokens for farmer's market to clients to use for their nutritional needs. Also has household necessities, including donated clothing and furniture, as well as new toiletries and cleaning supplies for our clients. -  Community Connections: provides tickets to local cultural and sporting events for clients so that they can enjoy these activities. Also sends the minors infected and affected by HIV and AIDS to REACH Camp, where they can meet other kids whose lives have been changed by HIV. Coordinates a response to the earliest cases of HIV/AIDS in the Walla Walla Valley. Helps provide support services to people living with HIV/AIDS, their partners, families, and friends. -  Collaborates with area agencies to effectively serve clients and prevent the spread of HIV. -  Heightens public awareness and dispel myths surrounding HIV/AIDS and its transmission. -  Provides access to HIV education, prevention materials, and case management to the growing Spanish-speaking population in our service area.

Provides advocacy for legal and public assistance needs for any victim of intimate partner domestic violence, any gender, living in Seattle, Shoreline or Lake Forest Park. Provides individual and group domestic violence advocacy for all genders. Offers support groups for survivors of domestic violence via zoom. Focus is on DV education, building self-esteem, ending social isolation, and group problem-solving.

Community education and prevention of domestic and family violence, follow-up, home visits, phone contacts with clients, continued advocacy that may include court appearances with the victims and provides referrals to other resources.

Provide direct, local services to victims of domestic violence, connecting survivors and families with the resources they need and breaking the cycle of violence. Works with individuals to develop an action plan to address their needs, offer advocacy-based counseling, and connect clients to appropriate resources to address their immediate crisis. Trained advocates support survivors with plans to stay safe in their current and future environment and connects survivors with resources that help them gain stability and well-being, including referrals.
