Provides help to veterans in accessing VA and community services.
Provides help to veterans in accessing VA and community services. Services may include short-term case management, onsite primary care, access to medical, mental health, and substance abuse treatment, and access to VA housing programs, including Grant and Per Diem program, HUD/VASH, Veterans Recovery House and Supportive Service for Veteran Families (SSVF) if found eligible. These grants do not provide immediate assistance, are sometimes one-time, and may include case management. Help with finding market rate or subsidized housing or linkage to community housing programs. Assistance with expediting VA Benefit claims and access to employment programs such as Supported Employment, Veterans Reintegration program, and State employment. Access to computers, clothing, and hygiene items is available onsite.

Emergency Assistance offered by Kitsap County Veterans Center at Olympic College
Helps low-income veterans in need of rental assistance, utilities assistance, as well as food, transportation, medical, and prescription costs. Assists with filing claims with the VA. Must have been honorably discharged or general discharge under honorable conditions.
Provides veterans with financial assistance to help them find a home, remain in their home, obtain a job, or remain employed. Emergent basic needs are
generally those required to survive, such as housing, heat, medicine, food, and to ensure the safety of the veteran and their eligible family members.
Funds are disbursed by Kitsap Community Resources.
Veteran Service Officers are available to help veterans file disability claims with Veterans Affairs.

County program that helps Thurston County eligible veterans with rent, mortgage and shelter assistance.
Transportation Assistance
Available Monday through Friday, between 8am and 4pm.
Provides veterans with a door to door service to medical appointments in Thurston County, or to the American Lake VA Medical Center.
