Provides substance use disorder services for teens and adults, including DUI assessments and outpatient treatment. Provides individual, group, and family counseling as part of treatment. Coordinates adolescent-only groups and adult co-occurring disorders groups. Additionally offers co-occurring intensive inpatient/outpatient and weekly aftercare. Offers morning, day, and evening programs as well as on-site drug testing. Also offers relapse prevention groups and interventions.

Operates three residential treatment programs for men and women with chronic mental health and/or substance use disorders. Provides 3-5 days of medical stabilization/withdrawal management, followed by intensive inpatient treatment for up to 26 total days of admission. This treatment program includes: - 1:1 time with counselor, group educational and recovery activities — using trauma-informed approaches - Engage with 12-step recovery concepts - Care coordination and customized care plan development - Educational and recovery resource connections - Medications for addiction treatment - Pregnancy-specific addiction consultation - Recreational activities – (walks, crafts, gentle exercise, mindful activities like coloring) - Prenatal care and connection to community OB providers While working with the inpatient and group-based treatment, patients also get case management, referrals and coordination with community resources are also provided. Group treatment focuses on a variety of topics, including, physical and psychological trauma, HIV and other risk education, substance education, early parenting, and stress management in recovery, early recovery, mindfulness, relapse prevention. Medication-Assisted Treatment uses evidence-based medications for withdrawal management and treatment of substance use disorders. Medications are adjusted and stabilized during admission, and clients are provided links to outpatient providers to continue medication treatment after discharge. This unit provides both methadone and buprenorphine treatment for opioid use disorder. Patients can also access 24-hour nursing care, routine medical and obstetric care, and immediate access to obstetric emergency services on campus. Services provided include: - Obstetric lab testing and imaging - Daily medical care during stabilization, then regular weekly medical care - Antenatal testing as indicated - Screening for and management of common mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression - Medication management - Nursing, medical, and obstetric education - Parenting and Childbirth Education. Includes education around prenatal care, childbirth, postpartum care, newborn/early infancy parenting, engaging with the healthcare system, self-advocacy, coping skills, and pain/symptom management options. During the stay, the counseling team works diligently to secure sober housing whenever possible and further treatment for all patients after their inpatient stay. If patients are returning to friends or family, a family session with a recovery plan for post discharge is initiated to ensure clear communication and expectations. Many patients choose to continue on to long-term treatment, and the team initiates the process while they are in treatment on the unit. Refers to community resources, such as the Parent Child Assistance Project, public health, OBGYNs, intensive outpatient, inpatient, mental health agencies, DSHS, as needed and where possible.

Provides detoxification and stabilization services to help people become drug- and alcohol-free. Stabilization includes education, group therapy and sober support meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. Most inpatient stays are only for a few days.

Offers a Christian-based 6-month inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation program, including individual and group counseling, spiritual counseling and 12-strep recovery, and community volunteering opportunities. Participants cannot be employed when applying for the program as it is an intensive inpatient program to focus on Substance Use Disorder issues. Provides education about alcoholism and other drug addiction. Teaches communication and coping skills.  Recreation activities available include an exercise area, game room, library of books, group outings, and a canteen. Chapel attendance and Bible study are required as part of the program. Space is available for 30 men in shared living arrangements. Clients stay 6 months in the initial program phase (Bridge 1) and have options to continue into other phases that can amount to 14 months. There is extensive support for after-care including Life and Career Building Skills classes for participants in their last 2 months of phase 1 as well as case management for Supportive Housing and Employment. Participants who relapse will be expelled from the program. After completion of the program, The Salvation Army has additional program components to help individuals re-establish themselves into the community.

Provides assessment, medical detox, and treatment to pregnant women with a substance use disorder. The program focuses on harm reduction to mother and baby by providing access to chemical dependency rehabilitation and obstetrical care. Program lasts for 26 days.

At Spokane Falls Recovery Center, they are able to provide medications that will ease symptoms of withdrawal as your body and mind adjust. Medication-assisted detox increases the odds that a person will complete treatment, so they recommend this option to many of their patients.

Provides abstinence-based treatment to Native American adults.  Focuses on the issues that typically accompany patterns of chronic relapse. Treatment is directed toward issues of unresolved grief and the trauma of physical and sexual abuse. An emphasis is placed on respect and compassion while providing the expectations and structure for responsible behavior and a positive identity that supports life change.  The Northwest Indian Treatment Center is a 24-bed residential drug and alcohol treatment program for Native Americans operated by the Squaxin Island Tribe. The length of stay is 45 days. The center is certified by the Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse and both the residential and outpatient programs are accredited by the Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission (CARF).

Offers a 16-bed integrated recovery treatment center to help patients with co-occurring behavioral health and substance use disorders. Patients stay on a voluntary basis for a variable length of time depending on their needs, and will have an individualized discharge plan with post discharge follow-up.
